Intrade.com 7:00pm CST update:

Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, and Florida are all predicted to be won by Barak Obama. Montana is predicted to be won by John McCain. The only state that is still close to call is North Dakota. The Intrade markets are now predicting that Barak Obama will garner more than 360 Electoral College votes.

John McCain needed to hold all the states that were too close to call in order to gain enough Electoral College votes in order to win the Presidency. This has not happened.

I know we need the seat, but I'm glad Susan Collins didn't go.

The only thing that would make me happier is for my home state of Missouri to go for Obama. I still say that it will. I hope I'm right.

Hello everyone -- just returned from working the polls in Stafford VA. I observed the vote count in my precinct which took a long time because the election officials were having a hard time transmitting the data to the central office. It was overwhelmingly for Obama, Mark Warner and the DEM candidate Bill Day.

In the local races here the Republicans are killing the Dems. It's a wonder why I even bother to vote. One guy was ahead 68% to 29%. Another was ahead 84% to 16%.

I'm sorry, but my thought is not FREE LUNCH, as you put it. I am the first person, who thinks that everybody, at one time or another, has needed a hand-up. But, there is a difference between a hand-up, and a hand-out. Obama, wants to tax people who make money, at higher rates, and give tax breaks, to alot of people who don't even pay taxes now. How is that fair. Now maybe you all don't make enough money, to fall into the higher tax brackets, but I sure as HELL do. I really don't care if you guys like me or not, I didn't come here to be popular, I came here, because I thought that people here, might be fair enough to hear everyone's view point.

There are many people who are in dire straits through no fault of their own. Granted, there are those who are lazy and want a handout, but there are plenty who get hurt very badly because of the attitude that most fit in that category.

I don't think Obama has said that he will govern in the way you're describing. I think the Republicans have painted him in that light. Time will tell. I hope you'll be big enough to admit it if you turn out to be wrong about him.

The John McCain making that concession speech is the John McCain I loved in 2000. He's been missing for the past year, and I'm glad he's back. I could see him working well with Obama from the Senate, actually. Before he sold his soul to the hacks he thought could help him win (the same ones who defeated him in 2000), he probably agreed politically with Obama more than he disagreed. He can take off pieces of that right-wing costume now.
