Hillary Rodham Clinton’s improbable path to the Democratic presidential nomination might look a bit more promising for her in the wake of Barack Obama’s recent troubles, but she still needs a blowout on Tuesday to rally superdelegates to her side. And that means victories in both Indiana and North Carolina -- not a split decision.
Obama is too far ahead among elected delegates for Clinton to change the game with only a win in Indiana, where she is pulling ahead in polls, and a narrow loss in North Carolina, where Obama is drifting down but still leading. While enough to hold down pressure on Clinton drop out, that result would not be the game changer required for Clinton to ultimately win this nomination.
A North Carolina upset in Clinton’s favor would turn heads among superdelegates who have the power to tip the balance. To many, an Obama loss in a state that his camp once viewed as his firewall would be seen as voter ratification of growing doubts about his staying power.
If Clinton had any chance of catching Obama in elected delegates, a good day on Tuesday would be an Indiana win and a close second in North Carolina But to start racking up the numbers of superdelegates she’ll need for the nomination, Clinton has to run the table.

Opportunist Joe Andrew, former DNC chairman under Cinton, switches his endorsement from Obama and Clinton. Worse--calls on superdelegates to united behind Obama and "heal the rift in the party." What nonsense. Everyone was worried about what would happen if the super delegates "took the election away" from Obama, but we Clinton supporters are supposed to sit here like a bunch of dummies while someone (?) orchestrates drip drip drip of superdelegate endorsements for a candidate who clearly can no longer beat McCain.

Ayers had everything to do with it.
All told, Ayers and Weatherman were responsible for 30 bombings aimed at destroying the defense and security infrastructures of the U.S. "I don't regret setting bombs, said Ayers in 2001, "I feel we didn't do enough."
In 1970, Ayers' then-girlfriend Diana Oughton, along with Weatherman members Terry Robbins and Ted Gold, were killed when a bomb they were constructing exploded unexpectedly. That bomb had been intended for detonation at a dance that was to be attended by army soldiers at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Hundreds of lives could have been lost had the plan been successfully executed. Ayers attested that the bomb would have done serious damage, "tearing through windows and walls and, yes, people too."
After the death of his girlfriend, Ayers and his current wife, Bernardine Dohrn, spent the 1970s as fugitives running from the FBI. In 1980 the two surrendered, but all charges against them were dropped due to an "improper surveillance" technicality. Ayers' comment on his life, as reported by Peter Collier and David Horowitz in their authoritative chapter on Weatherman in Destructive Generation, is this: "Guilty as sin, free as a bird, America is a great country."
Notwithstanding his violent past, Ayers today does not describe himself as a terrorist. "Terrorists destroy randomly," he reasons, "while our actions bore ... the precise stamp of a cut diamond. Terrorists intimidate, while we aimed only to educate."

"Ayers and Dohrn, now married, went underground after she was charged with instigating riots at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968 and after several of their fellow SDS Weatherman associates were killed when bombs they were building blew up in a Greenwich Village townhouse.
Following the mass murders of actress Sharon Tate and others by disciples of Charles Manson, Dohrn had this to say: "Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they even shoved a fork into a victim's stomach! Wild!" Dohrn went on to suggest adopting a "fork" salute might be appropriate for her fellow homicidal maniacs."

Both Obama and Ayers were members of the board of an anti-poverty group, the Woods Fund of Chicago, between 1999 and 2002. In addition, Ayers contributed $200 to Obama's re-election fund to the Illinois State Senate in April 2001, as reported here. They lived within a few blocks of each other in the trendy Hyde Park section of Chicago, and moved in the same liberal-progressive circles
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/02/obamas_weatherman_connection.html
Obama, of course, didn’t just “attend an event” at Bill Ayers’ house. He launched his state senate campaign at an event held at Bill Ayers’ house. And he didn’t just serve on a non-profit board with Ayres. He served with Ayres on the board of the Woods foundation, where along with Ayres, he is known (so far) to have funneled money to radical anti Israelie groups.

"Home Depot lays off 1500 people and their stock goes up."
It's the Republican way. The last CEO (Nardelli) was a certified tool. (HA HA) He was a big donor for Bush in 2004, even hosted a fundraiser for our der Fuhrer. As publicized, Nardelli left Home Depot amid controversey and absconded with a 210 million dollar severance package from the company. Adds insult to injury that Home Depot has to now lay off their employees.
Must be nice to be a friend of Little Lord Pissypants. 210 million severance package, Whew! The stockholders sued ... never found out what happened with that.

I'm perplexed.
How come a 4% lead by Hillary over Obama in the dem primary is NOT statistically significant:
"The four percentage point Clinton advantage in the April 28-30 polling is not statistically significant, but suggests slight movement in her favor"
But a 4% lead by McCain over Obama in the general election IS statistically significant:
"The latest general election results show Obama now trailing McCain by a statistically significant 47% to 43% margin among registered voters."
What am I missing?
And i agree with Craig a win in NC will turn some heads and it is appearing to be more and more of a possibility that it can happen...although I'm not predicting that she will I do think if she loses it will be by less than 5%. If she does win it'll only be by a percent or 2.

Zooey - Smooth Air it is.
On Gregory's show they were just laughing about the gas tax. What it comes down to is the economists can say anything they want, a half tank of gas gets someone to and from work and as far as the average person is concerned how to pay for it and the infrastructure is a problem for someone else.
There are ways to prevent a pass through on taxes but it had better be pretty tight legislation. In any case the amount lost from the highway fund really makes no difference since it won't be decently funded unless the Dem Congress or a new Dem President can put the money there, something Bush has never done.

right and sometimes - you have to lose a little to gain a little. There will be short term loss in the highway fund while they take a gas tax holiday.
I would also say that any win-fall profits tax would have to include language that prevents them from passing it onto the consumer.
I'm not worried like with the throwing the Wright under the bus speech after an evening of polling...he'll eventually flip flop on the tax and say "me too" just like he always does. If only he could have an original idea of his own.

What I'd like to know from the Obama supporters is why they're still so eager for him to win the Democratic nomination, even though we've achieved near-metaphysical certitude that he'll lose in November. And I don't care what the latest micro-movements in polls are. He's sinking fast, even though I'm assuming he'll win the nomination.
But at this point, sending Obama into the general election is the political equivalent of sending a pure-bred toy poodle puppy into a pit-bull training academy. The only thing he ever had going for him -- his "above-it-all" halo -- is long gone. So what's left?
At least with Hillary -- love her or hate her -- we know we would have had a mongrel mutt with lots of scars, but still a fighting chance.
Meanwhile, two Democrats who could have probably stepped right into the Oval Office and built solid presidencies -- Joe Biden and John Edwards -- are sitting on the sidelines, only because the Obama bubble didn't burst soon enough for them.
It's truly a pity for the Dem party how things worked out this year.

Obama doesn't want to deal with the oil/gas issue.
He lies about taking donations from the oil/gas industry and then throws up his hands and says there is nothing that can be done.
Why doesn't he call up the president of Exxon and ask him to stop the speculation? Myabe he could form a coalition with the Rockefeller heirs.
If Obama isn't going to do anything about the cost of gas what about establishing the beginning of the end of the war in Iraq. With the money we save on Iraq, we could all have free gas for the summer.
Bush is the most unpopular president and still the Democrats in Congress are afraid to defy him on the war budgets.

The Limits of Idealism
"Yet Mr. Obama has one thing in his favor: the predilection of ideologically driven supporters to fall in love with a losing candidate. The Democratic party’s virgin foot soldiers put more value on intention than achievement and prefer purity to pragmatism. They consider idealistic perfection more important than tainted electability. They are often natural oppositionists who prefer to complain from a position of self-righteous impotence than make the grubby compromises needed to win and to govern."

Clinton's Pennsylvania victory fuels questions about why Obama hasn't been able to sew up the nomination, despite having more money, having won more states and having a lead in the popular vote and pledged delegates, according to ABC News' delegate scorecard.
With neither candidate able to get the 2,025 delegates needed to win the party's nomination, tonight's win in Pennsylvania will bolster Clinton's argument to superdelegates — the 795 Democratic party officials and members of Congress who may ultimately decide the nomination.
'Clear and Convincing Victory'
As the results pour in, pundits, Democratic superdelegates, and the media will characterize whether Clinton won by a large enough margin of victory. Devine and other Democrats have long argued the New York senator needed to win the Keystone State over Obama by double digits, and dig into Obama's delegate lead.
"If she wins by 10 points or more, it will be viewed as a clear and convincing victory, but if it's closer than that, it will be less than a clear and convincing victory," Democratic strategist Tad Devine said.

Lardass:
"What I'd like to know from the Obama supporters is why they're still so eager for him to win the Democratic nomination, even though we've achieved near-metaphysical certitude that he'll lose in November."
Maybe in Hillaryland. But in that same place - you thought it was a certitude that HRC would win the nomination. So excuse me for not buying into the self-serving arguments being made by Clinton supporters right now.
All the reasons I thought Obama was more electable than Clinton still hold true.
And all the reasons I thought Clinton would have trouble - including her high negatives and her ability to change positions (or personalities) on a dime if it suits her politically - have only been reinforced.
"But at this point, sending Obama into the general election is the political equivalent of sending a pure-bred toy poodle puppy into a pit-bull training academy."
So the mighty Clinton machine has had its butt kicked by a "puppy" (even though Obama has respectfully stayed away from plenty of attacks the GOP would have used on a regular basis).
Good thing we learned that they "myth" that the Clintons were unbeatable was indeed a "myth" before the general election.
"At least with Hillary -- love her or hate her -- we know we would have had a mongrel mutt with lots of scars, but still a fighting chance."
I think it would have been a fight. Down and dirty just like this primary has been. That is "how the Clintons roll"!!! And I don't want that. I want an actual debate about the critical issues facing this Nation. And I think we get that with Obama vs. McCain.
(maybe not in the media - but at least between the candidates.)
And If you people think Obama (or the GOP) created the narrative that the Clintons will "say anything or do anything" to get elected - you are mistaken. The Clintons created it. And heck, it is true - and it is one of the main reasons a lot of people like the Clintons. (and why a lot of people don't like the Clintons.)

Warren...at least while you were in Costa Rica you had a good excuse for being so behind the news. But you'll never convince us that the TV reception in New York is so bad that you haven't heard the news: Obama Is Toast.
This isn't about Hillary anymore, as much as you'd like it to be. It's about a politician who tried to do magic tricks with a fake base that was disguised as a groundswell but has now been reduced to latte-drinking, overeducated whites (like you and me) and angry blacks. And it will never recover.
That base is hard-pressed to win Dem primaries -- and then only if you master the Byzantine rules of apportionment, the ground-game of caucuses, etc. I'll stipulate that BHO has at least achieved that, and will most likely be the nominee.
That base absolutely doesn't win general elections. The Reagan Dems either stay home, or start bonding with Crazy Uncle McCain.
That's just where this is headed, and nothing you or I say is going to change that.

"Hillary Clinton will appear in a live town hall meeting Sunday on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."
Just two days before the primaries, ABC's town hall event will be broadcast live from Indiana, and also include viewer questions from North Carolina. "This Week" host Stephanopoulos is moderating.
ABC News has also extended offers to both Sen. Barack Obama and John McCain, according to a network spokesperson."
Wouldn't that be interesting if McCain accepted and Obama didn't? Given that it is ABC and George, the chances of Obama showing up are probably pretty slim. If McCain shows up, Hillary can show how much better on the issues she is than McCain giving superDs and voters a look at what the GE will look like. This could be something like Craig's Hillary/McCain debate.
Even if she's the only one, it'll make the other two look like cowards when they say - we invited the other two but they declined.
I say, like the O'Reilly interview, another brilliant Clinton move.

I have picked a horse LL. Can't you tell?
Hi Wendy, I've been busy.....Yes, Hillary was brilliant on Fox while Michelle was quite the stepford freak with Caroline at her side on CNN. She is downright scary and the infomercial about her life reads like an Obama autobiography -full of BS. For someone so smart it took twenty years to figure out Wrights feelings on America and Jews. Now that Michelle has declared Wright is past us she can once again attempt to make the election a referendum on us rather than her husband....LOL. The only thing that prompted Obama's scorn was that Wright attacked him. That was the cardnial sin.
Let me tell you all a secret. Wright said an attack on him was really an attack on the Black church. Obama says attacks on him are really an attack on the people, a distraction in their quest to make him President. I guess Obama learned a thing or two from Wright.
Obama is toast, but he may well win the primary. I have my horses picked. The idea that Obama thinks the "people" are witless enough to believe his spin is insulting however 'wright' it applies to many Liberals.
Huffington is a member of the witless camp. She said last night that MSM is unfairly beating up on Obama and loves McCain so much he is even with the Democrats. She suggests media go back to their balanced reporting and get over Wright. She actually thinks the MSM slant towards Obama and the Left is balanced. She attributes Obama's troubles to a mean press and believes once the Democrats pick a candidate they will become robots again. I don't know who sickens me more, Huffington or Michelle.
I couldn't help wince when MIchelle repatedly said how proud she was of her husband's Race speech (a huge attempt at deflection revealed by recent events) and Obama's political decision to denounce Wright, er ...a.... reject Wright.
I guess if Obama loses the primary, Michelle will go back to being singularly NOT PROUD of America.

Lardass:
This is about Clinton supporters and GOP operatives making the same arguments that Obama can't be elected.
Like I have said - right now roughly 30% of the Country supports Obama, 30% supports Clinton and 40% supports the GOP. So when 70% of the people are saying Obama can't get elected - it is going to sound pretty convincing. But that doesn't make it true.
And while I admit it is rough right now - I am pretty pleased with it. It gets a lot of these "sideshow" arguments out on the table before the general. And it will also make Obama the underdog going against McCain in the Fall. And America loves an underdog - it worked for Obama in the primary. (Hell - Clinton didn't even start winning again until it became clear that the once inevitable candidate - with all the big connections and experience - is now taking the underdog role.....)
(Too bad the GOP didn't crank this thing up till after Obama won 10 in a row - HRC may have had a shot ; )

Maybe people have commented on this previously, but I think many of these SD's are looking to their own career paths. If a Democrat wins the GE, many people will be hired in D.C. as the old republican get the shaft.
The SD's are merely placing their bet. So when the convention comes along, if the tide has changed, I believe the SD's will change also.
This current news cycle looks really bad for an Obama win against McCain.....What will matter is : what is in the news at Convention time in August.

Wendy..No new public polling here..
The campaign is very enthusiastic. Today when I went to work at headquarters, there were somany people there was no place to sit. More phones, more volunteers all the time..Lots of enthusiasm.
People in the state are thrilled that the primary has some importance this year.
The refusal by the Obama campaign to debate is getting lots of play here.
I'd say we are still behind, but closing in..
Ballots are mailedout tomorrow so the vote begins. Ballots must be returned by May 20th..
TheObama campaign is relying heavily on TV ads; Hillary's campaign is relying on out hustling the Obama campaign with people on the ground.
We will see what happens..

If I were an SD I would wait until the public had completed it's voting process. Then I would weigh all the facts and decide, unless I already had a relationship with one of the candidates, in that case, I would support the one who had supported me.

Advice re: Inner Peace
"The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished."
So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a bottle of Kalhua, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates.

Funny Warren. And when 20% of Hillary supporters defect you're gonna really laugh. First, the MSM and the affluent White Liberals prevented any vetting of their Messiah. Second, you think disaster is over for Obama? There is a trend among Jews that will trouble Obama. Men will come around and see Obama as a far cry from Micheal Jordan or Ali. Hispanics will likely vote McCain. Florida will punish Obama. Pennsylvania will punish Obama. Burrito has got it right. The DNC will never nominate a candidate that loses in polling to the Republican and reject the candidate that wins. The fundemental blow to Obama is with Indies not picked up so well on your analysis. Many have finally seen through the act. Obama never takes the tough road unless the polls demand it.
He has no record of strong support for Israel, yet he claims he does. He favors affirmative action and promises a bogus new criteria that cannot be applied. His own hand-writing is on the answer to the total gun ban question. You think Obama doesn't know alinsky gave Chavez the Yes We Can mantra? How many dollars did Khalidi and Ayers raise for their friend? How long do you think Obama can say questions of character are distractions?
Sorry, Warren, the disingenutiy will stick and it has less to do with politics and far more to do with flunking his own bar, which is pretty ironic, yes?

TT, baseball is a great diversion. When Rome was crumbling Romans went to the circus. Following the discussion here today (and almost every day for the past eight months or so) with folks calling each other to fight and the six or seven folks on each side committed beyond all reason and compromise, baseball, indeed, provides some much needed relief. Hope all is well in TX.
9/11, good luck on your project. When you're rich and famous will you still remember us? LOL!!!
Nash, are you watching the PBS series on Carrier? There have been several references to sailors serving on the America prior to coming to the Nimitz. I'm about eight hours into the series and all I can say right now is the new Navy ain't the old Navy, that's for sure! Last night's scenes from crossing the equator were pathetic compared to what I went through crossing on the Essex in 1958. I got my ass kicked for no less than five hours on that October day. If you want to see what we went through, YouTube has photos and footage under USS Essex. I know things change and sometimes for the best and sometimes not!

This election year does bode well for Democrats in Oregon for November.
Although the Democratic candidate has won Oregon since 1988, the margin has been at times too close for comfort, particularly Gore in 2000.
The last election saw Dems making gains in swing suburban counties..
Democrats have the Governorship, all stateoffices, 4 0f 5 Congressional districts and 1of 2 Senate seats.
Hopefully, Senator Smith will leave Washington in January.
Republicans are having great difficulty getting good candidates for statewide offices.

Ally..The only published poll I saw here was 11 points.
I'vThave posted before that Chuck Todd MSNBC...said a couple of weeks ago that Obama would win Oregon by amargin equal to Hillary's expected in Kentucky.
Several days ago Todd said that if Hillary could put enough money into Oregon, she might be able to turn the state around.
When I hear the national press discuss my state, I often see how little they understand. It makes you question their analysis of other states.
People will begin receiving ballots in the mail Thursday and will begin mailing them in. It makesit very difficult to gauge what is happening.

My BS? Pennsylvania has most Jews congregated in the city centers. They tend to be young and more Liberal than Jewish. They also heard extensive appeals by Obama. That was before the Wright explosion. Wright is being flushed out and his connections to Israel's foes and the ISM crowd will see the light of day before November. Even in Pennsylvannia, Hillary got the larger Jewish vote. Florida would draw her 80% + at this point.
News Flash Warren: Bush isn't running in November no matter how hard you believe McCain is Bush. What is bullshit is Obama's claim he is such a dear friend to Israel. Or should I forget his stuttering answer in the last debate or the company he keeps. Great Kyl non-vote and did you ever read his BS talk to AIPAC?
Obama called Wright a Scholar. You check out his LINK and response to the latest questions. One thing you can say about Wright is that he is consistent and out-spoken. I guess Obama has on headphones. . For all the Jews contributed to the Civil Rights movement, Wright has a lot of nerve and Obama wants us to believe he knew nothing about the views of Wright, Moss, Lee, Meeks, Khalidi, Malley and even Zbig, Power and McPeak. Heel he helped Farrakhan. Pretense Warren, utter pretense.
Completely wrong about Clinton supporters. They are passionate about how and where they want this country to go. They are not running against Bush, they are running FOR the Clinton referendum, the New Democratic approach and reject Obama because his approach is doom for Democrats. Bush is merely what goes wrong when the New Democrats are not in charge.
And you finsih with the ultimate irony. First, the Clinton magic didn't save Kerry and your guy has spent months blasting the Clintons and comparing Bill to Nixon. Obama called her a racist, liar, untrustworthy and a Republican. Why does he need her support? I can only wish Obama gets the help from the Clintons he deserves should he get nominated. Yes Warren Bush really destroyed this country, ruined our Constitution, made very one poor and polluted the world with evil American domination and filth. I'm waiting for Anon to confirm this and describe how Bush is Hitler.
Perhaps, you might want to read the American Thinker link and tell me how full of it Obama is when he hails his supreme support for Israel and Jews. We can live without such BS. America is not served by a phony playing both sides to get elected and having a backbone to defend only his reputation. His campaign, he tells us, is not about Obama but about the American people and their dreams. Now that is the perfect BS. This lection is about Obama. His character, record, history and policies are on trial. That is what an election is. This core fact escapes Obama supporters and therein lies the utter BS.

Contrary to previous statements, Obama has been cautious and shown no leadership since being in the senate.
"Yet it is also startling to see how quickly Obama’s senatorship has been woven into the web of institutionalized influence-trading that afflicts official Washington. He quickly established a political machine funded and run by a standard Beltway group of lobbyists, P.R. consultants, and hangers-on. For the staff post of policy director he hired Karen Kornbluh, a senior aide to Robert Rubin when the latter, as head of the Treasury Department under Bill Clinton, was a chief advocate for NAFTA and other free-trade policies that decimated the nation’s manufacturing sector (and the organized labor wing of the Democratic Party). Obama’s top contributors are corporate law and lobbying firms (Kirkland & Ellis and Skadden, Arps, where four attorneys are fund-raisers for Obama as well as donors), Wall Street financial houses (Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase), and big Chicago interests (Henry Crown and Company, an investment firm that has stakes in industries ranging from telecommunications to defense). Obama immediately established a “leadership PAC,” a vehicle through which a member of Congress can contribute to other politicians’ campaigns—and one that political reform groups generally view as a slush fund through which congressional leaders can evade campaign-finance rules while raising their own political profiles.
Obama clearly has abundant political ambitions. Hence he is playing not only to voters in Illinois—a reliably Democratic and generally liberal state—but to the broader national audience, as well as to the Democratic Party establishment, the Washington media, and large political donors. Perhaps for this reason, Obama has taken an approach to his policymaking that is notably cautious and nonconfrontational. “Since the founding, the American political tradition has been reformist, not revolutionary,” he told me during an interview at his office on Capitol Hill this summer. “What that means is that for a political leader to get things done, he or she ideally should be ahead of the curve, but not too far ahead. I want to push the envelope but make sure I have enough folks with me that I’m not rendered politically impotent.”

There is nothing wrong with experience. It is a great asset.
But scar tissue is different and it is unique to the current gutter that is Washington. Instead of getting things done - politicians have focused on tearing down their opponents. Making personal attacks and distorting their positions in a way that makes a reasonable debate impossible.
Scar tissue means political enemies and past votes that make it difficult to take new positions - even when they are the correct ones.

Wendy, if Warren actually re-read his comments he would be embarrased. I do commend his honesty and he does get that right -with the Clintons out of the race, his flaws will be easier to cover up....LOL
Of course, the Republicans do not need a primer from Hillary on how to deconstruct Obama. He has shown them how to do that all by himselves, with "a little help fromhis friends". Hell, "all the racists are going to vote Republican". Another Obamatism. It boggles the mind, but then group think is a powerful memetic factor in eprimate evolution. The problem of course is whether such genetic propensities are leading us to de-evolve. They are clearly leading Liberals to self-destruct.

If Obama gets the nod and continues his reverse momentum, McCain has a good shot at California. Since Obama supporters live in the imagination, imagine the Chicago detectives release the discovery that Young did in fact call Sinclair before Young was mysteriously and brutally murdered. You know, Yopung the gay Trinity Choir Master that Wright offered a $1000 reward for finding the urderer. I wonder now that he has a 6 million dolaar line of credit to go along with his new mansion, he might offer a tad more. Being totally unconnected to Sinclair except for both knowing Obama and being gay, why would Young call Sinclair and where did he get Sinclair's cell phone number? You might think this silly, but this particular story may very well decide PR. Nothing would surprise me given how much Obama has tried to cover history with fiction.
He always has a great career in yarns....

"The dollar has totally been removed from Iran's oil transactions," Oil Ministry official Hojjatollah Ghanimifard told state-run television Wednesday. "We have agreed with all of our crude oil customers to do our transactions in non-dollar currencies."

What has he actually led? Virtually every piece of legislation with his name on it in Illinois was handed to him after others did the work. A lot of what he claims for a mere two years in the Senate is of the "sign here to share the glory" legislation proposed by others. He has done virtually nothing for the last twelved years but run for the next highest office. That is ambition not leadership.

See? I was friggin right. Anon IS back to tell us Bush is Hitler Warren. Case closed.
Obama is running against Bush. Hillary is running for a more united America. I think Obama plays on the bitterness and Hillary exploits the desire to unite by reaching across the table. She has effectively kept Obama from pivoting center which was his game all along. When you flank left, the counter is to block the move towards center,. She has kept him pinned Left so long, he is toast in the general. His credibility is zero.
He has catered to the Anon's, the bitter Left, the various crowds that have been formerly excluded. He has seduced the mainstream Liberals. But again tonight as last night, I think B. B. King said it best, The Thrill Is Gone. Obama's purty words have been tarnished by his own gutter politics that drew him to those he must now renounce. What judgment is that?

I found the link and Israel is trading with the enemy even though they are supposedly boycotting all things Iranian and are violating the Iran Sanctions Act.
http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/richard_silverstein/2008/04/israels_tehran_connection.html
Here's a short portion of the story from the Guardian link above.
"If you've ever wondered about the definition of hypocrisy you'll find the answer right here.
Last month the Swiss foreign minister visited Iran and, together with President Ahmadinejad, attended the signing of a multi-billion euro contract for Iran to supply Switzerland with large amounts of natural gas over the next 25 years.
The US State Department immediately condemned the deal and said it would be investigating whether it breached the Iran Sanctions Act. Israel complained too, describing the Swiss minister's visit to Tehran as an "act unfriendly to Israel". Various Jewish groups also joined in the protests, including the World Jewish Congress.
This righteous indignation was entirely predictable but more than a little odd nevertheless. On March 30, the Swiss newspaper Sonntag retaliated with the revelation that Israel, supposedly observing an ironclad boycott of all things Iranian, has been buying Iranian oil for years."
So they buy their oil from their enemies and aide a so called Terrorists Country.
Now that Iran no longer sells its oil based on the US Dollar, which by the way is what Saddam did before we Illegally Invaded a Sovereign Country and currently are Illegally Occupying it, how long do you think it will be before we commit {America The Fourth Reich} more War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity?
I hope everyone is prepared for Nuclear War as China and Russia along with the rest of the Middle East, including Pakistan {who has Nuclear Weapons} and Afghanistan side with Iran and retaliate against us.
Yes the Rapture is Coming to a location near you sooner than you think.
God Bless.

Just happen to be listening to a discussion about Obama and Donald Young, the gay choirmaster at Obama's church who telephoned Larry Sinclair shortly before he was murdered. See that Max has been looking into this. Max and I connect dots, you guys just accept what is put out to the masses by MSM. Do you really believe what you are posting? I hope it's just spin. How could you be so misinformed.?

Maybe Bill had the DC Madam killed. His name might have been in her address book and he didn't want it to come out in the public.
Lots of high government officials names are suppose to be in that book along with David Vitner's its said. Could Bill's name be in there?
Inquiring minds want to know.
God Bless.
Know we have the so called Clinton supporters suggesting that Obama was involved in murder. So if Hillary was involved in Vince Fosters murder, maybe Bill is involved in the DC Madams murder.
Maybe Max and GORDO will want to research that for any dots to connect.

Glad we can agree on something.

It is not comforting to me to note how many people are willing to take a chance with someone who has basically done nothing but get elected. He hasn't even chaired a committee meeting he shouold have felt thrilled to be named to - he's in charge of oversight? That's what we need and have needed, and he's too busy to take care of that and is instead trying to win a thied election and get more power than anyone else in the world, and still he has done nothing. If the American people really give it to thim, they have an ourageous gambling problem - this is more than just betting the farm.

I bought gas this morning. It was $3.74 a gallon.

Corey, try buying gasoline in Europe. At my station we are at 1.415 euro per LITRE, not gallon. But then we have a good social sector so I can't complain that much.

Thanks so much for the Prokofiev. It's all been downloaded and unzipped and I've listened to snippets of each. I'll be saving the entire file for the end of next week when Stinky and I fly to Korea for our first visit there in 40-years.
People having real fun with the musical arts makes me think of 'Homage to Gerald Moore'. I'm going to have to dig it out, too.
