On the heels of Gallup's daily tracking poll which had Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in a statistical tie, a new Associated Press-Ipsos poll says Obama is leading Clinton 46 percent to 41 percent with a 4.3 percent margin of error (which still makes it pretty close) while John McCain leads Mike Huckabee 44 percent to 30 percent with Ron Paul at 9 percent. Margin of error on the GOP side is 5.2 percent.
In a general election match-up, AP-Ipsos has Obama out ahead of McCain 48 percent to 42 percent, with a 3.1 percent margin of error. Clinton led McCain by only 46 percent to 45 percent. This about squares with last week's Time Magazine poll which said Obama would fare slightly better than Clinton against McCain.
