Forty-nine percent of Americans consider Barack Obama to be more liberal than they are while 38 percent consider him about the same, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted Jan. 21 -22. Nine percent regard him as more conservative.
A plurality (35 percent) also believe that Obama is more liberal than most Democrats in Congress (31 percent say the lawmakers are more liberal and a third aren't sure).

No surprise -- this is the most conservative nation in the world. Science is bunk. Religion is truth revealed. We revel in the culture of war. American history is a history of American wars and nothing else. When our kids die in one of our wars, we exult over their transformation into heroes and rarely is a tear shed. Domestic politics revolve around the oh-so-important issues of gay marriage, criminalizing abortion, saying prayers and posting religious screeds in public places. (What happened to the evils of divorce and birth control?) If this group were educated, they'd be dangerous, however if they were educated they wouldn't swallow this nonsense.
There is one thing that trumps all this right wing stuff and that's greed. Greed is what has brought them to Obama. If only Obama succeeds, they can go back to purchasing consumer goods and telling other people how to live their lives.
