Whether the debate on foreign policy goes forward or not tomorrow night, John McCain still rates significantly higher than Barack Obama when it comes to knowledge of world affairs, according to a New York Times/CBS News poll. Twenty-two percent of respondents thought Obama was "very knowledgable" while 45 percent called McCain "very knowledgable".
Obama fared better when voters were asked about how confident they were in each candidate's ability to make the right decisions about foreign policy: 24 percent thought Obama was "very" able compared to 23 percent for McCain.
Obama was favored over McCain as the choice for president, 48-43 percent with 7 percent undecided.
The telephone survey was conducted Sept. 21-24 and the margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points.

Mccain blew it big time he needed to show the american people he could be a leader. That could be President, that would work across party lines to get things done. He came off as an ill tempered angry disrespectful lout. His 26 years in the senate came off as a waste of time. I had respect for his war record and pow status. Until watching him debate Obama this man wants to hurt somebody. The american people need change in the way Washington does business. We live in dangereous times and bully Mccain is not the man you need with access to red phone. his way of doing things 40 years ago when we were a super power are gone. two many rougue nation have nucular weapons and as for Israel they have one the best millitary regimes in the world. No other nation in middle east comes close. their special ops keep them safe and their love and devotion to one another is unbreachable. They will never face another hitler, as for the crazy talking man from Iran he is talking out of his ass. it is america who has lost her creditability by allowing bush to steal the 2000 elections get us into IracQ Mccain is wanting to win a war that was based upon a lie this was a corporate war launched purely by hallaburton cheney/bush for profit to line their pockets under the biggest misappropreations of tax dollars on a people that didn't do anything to us. taking over 4000 men and women lives and untold wounded with no provision for them or their families. i cry when i see
the devastation we've left behind of innocent people in
IracQ. Mccain needs to face the fact we lost the Vietnam war.We step into a countries civil war and got
another beat down how about we concentrate on America and let these countries run their on show most of them hate us anyway. how many of them have
offered to bail us out of our 800 billion dollar meltdown
