Of all the television news coverage of the Democratic National Convention, CNN wins the prize for dedicating the most resources to covering this event.
Like other networks, CNN has a traditional studio overlooking the stage at Pepsi Center. But they also have mini studios set up on the convention floor. They have even converted a restaurant adjacent to the arena into the "CNN Grill" with additional studios inside. And they're streaming the convention live online. The news network that claims to have the "best political team on television" is literally everywhere.
Four years ago, the major television networks cut back their convention coverage from four days to three days. Further retrenchment was expected this year. However, it's clear the decision by CNN to put so much effort into this convention forced their competitors to reverse course.
