If by U2 you mean “flowery wailing on top of a monotonous drone,” I couldn't agree with you more. For a person so gifted at delivering a speech I find it remarkable how inarticulate he is when talking extemporaneously; as in almost all unscripted moments in most of the debates.

Great job. Too bad more people didn't see it. Though I know he's a candidate and couldn't have possibly have delivered the Democratic response, wouldn't it have been great if he could have done so?

davehyzy's comment seems to be offered by someone is in a complete "state" of denial concerning the popularity and articulate nature of Senator Obama. I would add that Senator Obama is The Who,U2, Led Zeppelin, and Rolling Stones of this campaign. Those who do not truly know music would ever understand this metaphor.
