Dick Cheney is not going quietly into his post-vice-presidential night. With an interview he did with Politico--in which Cheney practically said it's a certainty that President Obama's actions and policies will lead to a catastrophic terrorist attack against the United States--the ex-veep signaled that he will be lobbing missiles at the new guys from his newest undisclosed location. Think of him as Mr. Wilson of Dennis the Menace fame, ever-yelling at the new kid to keep off his lawn. And it seems that Cheney is living for the day when--after some horrendous event has occurred--he can say, I told you so. The good news for reporters and pundit: Cheney will continue to be the source of good copy. I got my chance last night on Hardball:

since acts of terror on U.S. so far have been proven to have been false-flag attacks, (perpetrated by our own leaders and various "friends"), we should all be very wary when someone like not only cheney, but biden and albright as well tell us that "there will definitely be another terrorist attack against U.S."
the real defining moment, however, will be when 99% of journalists and pundits once again show their true stripes by playing along with the farce despite all very obvious evidence to the contrary.

Good commentary on Hardball, David.
Dick Cheney (aka the "CardioCriminal") should be irrelevant from this point forward, unless he is appearing in an orange jumpsuit.

Is Cheney living?
Might be a zombie.

Dick Cheney is back on the scene, doing what he does best: willing death and destruction upon the people of the United States.
Cheney really gave Georgia $1,000,000,000. Why? Because he encouraged them to poke the big bear and then couldn't back them up when the big bear struck back. Guess who paid for Cheney's election cycle foreign policy gambit? You and ME to the tune of $1,000,000,000. Pissin your money away in Iraq, making his friends rich, pissin your money away in Georgia trying to buy an election.
Bu the biggest FAIL of all, is the free-market ideology that allowed apocolyptic losses to continue unabated specifically due to a lack of reasonable regulation.

Why did Politico give Cheney this forum to spout his obscenities?
Oh, right, it's Politico. That's what they do.

So . . what ever happened to fair and balanced? Does it really take THREE slimeball reporters to trash everything Cheney said? Slimeballs; yea they don't have the decency to speak to the person face to face. And, if Cheney got "everything" so wrong - how many terrorist attacks, on American soil, have we endured since 9/11? Oh that's right, the terrorists haven't attacked anywhere else in the world since then either. We just need to sit down and talk to them, understand them, and our love will win them over.

LOL
Say it to his face? I thought his location was officially "undisclosed."

Acts of terrorism on the public are a waste of time. Hundreds are not enough. Thousands are not enough. Shock and awe is not enough. Civilians are mere bomb fodder which lead to more civilian deaths elsewhere. Provided governments are seen to be doing their share of killing, in retaliation, victims families and their fellow countryman are appeased. Violence does not stop because of counter-violence. Unless you can bomb your way to peace talks counter-violence is a waste of life and a waste of time.
According to US government propaganda, terrorist cells are spread throughout America, making it necessary for the government to spy on all Americans and violate most other constitutional protections. Among President Bush's last words as he left office was the warning that America would soon be struck again by Muslim terrorists.
If America were infected with terrorists, we would not need the government to tell us. We would know it from events. As there are no events, the US government substitutes warnings in order to keep alive the fear that causes the public to accept pointless wars, the infringement of civil liberty, national ID cards, and inconveniences and harassments when they fly.
The most obvious indication that there are no terrorist cells is that not a single neocon has ever been assassinated.

David, as a professional comic book writer who reads your column regularly and frequently agrees with you, I'm personally offended that you smear an innocent medium like comics that never did you any harm by associating it, even metaphorically, in any way with Dick Cheney, by calling him "a comic book character." I was trying to figure out a way to hurt you back by somehow smearing your profession via Cheney, but nothing Cheney said in that interview bore any resemblance to political commentary.

Busheney kept us safe?
Well until Sept. 10th - after that - not so much.
The worst attack on American soil happened because of Bush and Cheney.
The SOB's! They should be in GITMO along with every mindless drone who supported their sorry asses.

Since in this country there is no penalty for being wrong, only penalties for being right, Cheney will keep on with his jeremiad about attacks. As he stated previously, even a 1% chance is too much to ignore. Like an astrologer he will keep predicting a dark, dire fiuture and no one will ever make him eat his wrong predictions.
As I said earlier there is no penalty for being wrong but there is one for being right contrary to poular sentiment.
Americans seem unable to abide someone being right about changing direction when the thundering herd is heading towards a cliff.
Look at all of the people who predicted the economic collapse. How many of them are being lionized?
How many of those who made the collapse possible are suffering for their actions by being given a mere $10 million bonus instead of a $15 million bonus?
