There's one quote from Dick Cheney's interview with Politico that says it all:
We did worry about [the economy], to some extent.

There's one quote about President Obama in Maureen Dowd's Op-Ed, Feb. 3, that says it all:
"...his arrogant attitude that his charmed circle doesn’t have to abide by the lofty standards he lectured the rest of us about for two years."

The Busheney maladministration might have done us a solid by not making the economy a priority?
Lest we forget Ken Lay would have been Sec DOE if not for Enron coming off the tracks.
Not exactly the kind of leadership the economy needed.

Why worry about the economy when your task is to shift the national wealth to the top 1% of the country? The poor and middle class can suffer since they don't fiscally support the GOP to any extent.
Halliburton suffered from Cheney's tenure. The board was so glad that he left they gave him $35 million to stay away. He paid them back with about $1 billion or so in profits which he failed to do when he led the country.
