Rightwing activists gathered at a Washington hotel this week for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, where they listened to party leaders bash Barack Obama and George Bush and make excuses for the sad state of both the Republican Party and the conservative movement. Various speakers blamed the liberal media, the spending excesses of the Bush administration and congressional Republicans, and John McCain's lousy performance as a candidate for their movement's woes. What they neglected to do was consider whether the bedrock principles of conservatism--fetishizing the free-market and demonizing government--were no longer operative and out of sync with the present reality. I discussed this on Hardball:

By the way, if you haven't seen it yet, check out this story on how former UN Ambassador John Bolton jokingly suggested at CPAC that a nuclear attack on Chicago would teach Obama a much-needed lesson about national security. And the audience responded with laughter and cheers.

Pat Buchanan: Return Of The War Party
unlike Israel, Pakistan and India, none of which signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and all of which ran clandestine programs and built atom bombs, Iran signed the NPT and has abided by its Safeguards Agreement.
Adm. Dennis Blair, who heads U.S. intelligence, has just restated the consensus of the 2007 National Intelligence Estimate that Iran does not now possess and is not now pursuing a nuclear weapons program.

US won't participate in racism conference
The United States has decided not to participate in a U.N. conference on racism in April unless the final document is changed to drop all references to Israel.

US Gives China Eminent Domain Over US Property
Let's connect some dots today:
Dot #6 Dr. Jeff Taubenberger of the U.S. Institute of Pathology in Ft. Dedrick MD, (The world headquarters for biologic weapons development) successfully maps the genome of the 1918 killer "flu" virus responsible for the 1918 "pandemic" that killed millions.
The worst killer virus ever to plague mankind is now ready to be used as a covert "weapon" disguised as a natural "influenza" mutations.
Dot #7 December 2005: The Chinese Defense Minister, Chi Haotiaon delivers a speech to the Chinese military leaders outlining the inevitable "expansion" of China into Canada, the U.S., and Australia -- He justifies this because of Chinese racial "superiority" and thus "emminent domain". To accomplish this, American would first have to be "Cleansed" by means of a powerful "biological weapon"
Dot #13 China agrees to continue investing in U.S. Treasury Bills only after securing the right of "eminent domain" to physically repossess foreclosed American PRIVATE PROPERTY. This move is the equivalent of an unconditional surrender following a bloody war.
This also gives the Chinese military the LEGAL RIGHT to use biological weaponry to "Clean up America all at once". It gives them the legal right to use deadly force in removing trespassing Americans from occupying Chinese real estate.
BEIJING, China -- Sources at the United States Embassy in Beijing China have just CONFIRMED that the United States of America has tendered to China a written agreement which grants to the People's Republic of China, an option to exercise Eminent Domain within the USA, as collateral for China's continued purchase of US Treasury Notes and existing US Currency reserves.
The written agreement was brought to Beijing by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and was formalized and agreed-to during her recent trip to China.

Just Recently, the Government is buying private sector including the bail out under Bush administration which happened not to approved. The Federal Government is doing this to centralize the planning and all over to control the economic system. Also the Government proposes to convert its preferred stock into common equity, which poses a problem: it'll be very hard for the government to retain less than 40% ownership stakes when the conversions are complete; the conversion price would have to be around $20 dollars per common share, which is a almost ten times as much as a common share is now worth.
Well, the economy is on it's lowest Troughs. I think one factor that makes it even worse is the Government Tax Problem. The National Republican Congressional Committee is taking aim at newly picked Democratic candidate Scott Murphy in the 20th Congressional race, saying he owes $21,550 in back taxes and penalties in 1997 and 1998 for a company he owned, Small World Software, Inc.

David, just spent a Saturday afternoon checking in on Fox to see what they were up to.....well, did I get a treat! Rush limbaugh for 90 minutes at the CPAC. As an educated socialist European, I was also taught to "know thyne enemy" and now I do! The word Socialist has been bandied about as usual as the BIg Evil but I can assure these frightened Republicans that Presidnt Obama is NOT proposing Socialism for America - at least not any Socialism that I recognize! So, calm down folks. The greatest evil I do see (and as a European) I really DO recognize this one, it is the politics of FEAR and it always raises its ugly head when there is an economic crisis and people look for a scapegoat

CPAC are sounding like full on crazies to me.
It's not a good idea to just dismiss them but also hard to take them seriously.

Millions of people pay Federal taxes weekly or bi-weekly from their payroll taxes. They expect Government to institute policies which will help enrich their lives -- not reduce monies for school programs such as drivers' ed, shop, home economics, drama, gym, school lunches, books, and even toilet paper. Anyone over 40 had the advantages of these good school programs which have now become defunct. This is not how good Government should treat their young people while spending billions of dollars on killing machines and wars. These Federal taxes individuals pay into should be then given back to them by investing in good roads, bridges, sewer and water systems, schools, clean air, something which has been lacking the last 8 years and futhermore lacking whenever a Republican has control over the government -- it becomes non-existant yet a place for a pretty good salary, great medical for the GOP Party who come daily to work to obstruct and be the Party of No! It's the people's money they are saying No with, the people will get their turn to say No in 2010 and 2012!.

Political Armageddon: Ending Special Interest Influence in Washington DC
by Bernie Horn
There's no question that this is the battle of a lifetime.
The end of the world is near -- the Reagan world, that is. In one gigantic political battle, we can end the world of tax cuts for the rich, federal government-led attacks on organized labor, mindless deregulation, subsidies for wealthy corporations, war against science and preemptive war in Iraq.
The old political world will end on October 1, 2009 (the beginning of the next fiscal year) -- if we just win the battle to enact President Obama’s budget.
Anyone who didn’t see or hear Obama’s Weekly Address on Saturday should go to the White House website and watch it. It is a declaration of war against the special interests:
I realize that passing this budget won’t be easy. Because it represents real and dramatic change, it also represents a threat to the status quo in Washington.
