Believe me, it does get tiring to write repeatedly about the anti-Obama excesses of the Clinton campaign; I wish her aides would spend as much time pushing her proposals for Afghanistan and the housing crisis. But every day there's more negative material. So here's a piece I just posted at MotherJones.com.
The Clinton campaign keeps insisting that Hillary Clinton is the victim of a sleazy Obama campaign--though it engages in nasty tactics to denigrate Barack Obama. The Clintonites, it now seems, will even make common cause with the rightwing Hilary-haters to do so.
As Marc Ambinder reports, the Clinton campaign has distributed an American Spectator article that claims that retired General Merrill McPeak, an Obama foreign policy adviser, is an anti-Semite and a drunk. An anti-Semite? Supposedly because he has noted that the Israel lobby in America influences Mideast policy and because he advocates Israel withdrawing to its pre-1967 borders. Of course, that definition of anti-Semitism is absurd. But for the Clinton campaign to turn to the American Spectator, a rightwing publication that led the Clinton witch-hunts of the 1990s (and which published stories by David Brock and others regarding Bill Clinton's personal life), shows a certain desperation--or a damn-history opportunism. The article argues that Obama is bad for the Jews. The Clintonites are disseminating it. That would be ugly enough. The source renders the episode damn ugly.
Meanwhile, Clinton herself cozied up to the Richard Mellon Scaife--the man who funded the "vast rightwing conspiracy" (which included the American Spectator) that tried to destroy the Clintons in the 1990s--in order to take a swipe at Obama. On Tuesday, Clinton met with editors and reporters of the archly conservative Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, which Scaife owns. At that session, she did what she could to keep the Jeremiah Wright controversy alive by saying, "He would not have been my pastor. You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend." In attendance was Scaife. ("Hell has officially frozen over," rightwing journalist Byron York commented.) So has Clinton no shame? No pride? Or merely a sharp sense of political calculation? Did she ponder the irony of using Scaife's platform (in the key state of Pennsylvania) to discredit a fellow Democrat?
All's fair in love, war, and hotly contested primaries? Maybe. But that doesn't make it right. Clinton might be willing to put aside her grudge against the American Spectator and Scaife because doing so helps her politically. But in the 1990s this band of Clinton-haters were out to ruin not merely her and her hubby but the entire progressive agenda. (They always believed the Clintons to be far more left than Bill and Hillary actually were.) But now, for Hillary Clinton, they're good enough to use against Obama.
On Monday, during a conference call with reporters, Phil Singer, a senior Clinton aide, expressed tremendous outrage that an Obama supporter in Iowa had blogged that a Bill Clinton remark (which may have been a poke at Obama's patriotism) was "a stain on [Bill Clinton's] legacy much worse, much deeper, than the one on Monica's blue dress." Singer went on about how this was proof the Obama camp was running a tawdry campaign reviving the rightwing Clinton hatred of the past. That was hyperbole, of course. But it was hypocritical hyperbole. If Clintonites can use an over-the-top American Spectator article to try to whip up trouble between Obama and Jewish voters and if she can sit politely next to Scaife because doing so affords her a good media opportunity for slamming Obama, her campaign has no basis for comparing criticism from the Obama camp to the misdeeds of Kenneth Starr and the Clinton pursuers of the 1990s. By legitimizing the "vast rightwing conspiracy" so she can put down Obama, Hillary Clinton may be confirming one of the Klinton Krazies perennial talking points about her and her husband: they will do anyting--anything!--to win.

If Obama had not belonged to, and still belongs to, a church that has published anti-jew material in it's own weekly material, this would not be an issue.
However, Obama has surrounded himself with anti-jewish supporters and deserves the scrutiny since progressive journalist like yourself refuse to do your job when it comes to Obama.

Clinton's Schedule Released
http://www.theonion.com/content/infograph/clintons_schedule_released
In order to assist her presidential bid, the William J. Clinton Presidential Library has made public 11,000 pages of Hillary Clinton's calendar while she was in the White House. Here are some of the notable excerpts:
Feb. 16, 1993, 10:15 a.m.—Pick Cambridge, VT as village that will raise Chelsea during her father's term.
March 11, 1993, 8:59 a.m.—Take deep breath; 9:00 a.m.—Introduce new, shorter haircut to American people.
April 27, 1994, 3:00 p.m.—Finish The New York Times crossword puzzle during Nixon's funeral.
Dec. 20, 1995, 7 p.m.—Attempt to decorate White House Christmas tree, then put down box of ornaments, say "This is bullshit," and walk out.
Jan. 25, 1996, 4:15 p.m.—Document Shred-a-Thon '96.
Aug. 21, 1999, 4:38 a.m.—After screening The Sixth Sense, order Secret Service to check on every noise you hear during the night.
Sept. 18, 1999, 5:00 p.m.—Sigh wistfully, pine for Arkansas, a place you never really got to know...not really.

1. Rev Wright
JERUSALEM – Sen. Barack Obama's Chicago church published an open letter from a Palestinian activist that labels Israel an "apartheid" regime and claims the Jewish state worked on an "ethnic bomb" that kills "blacks and Arabs."
2. Rev Al Sharpton
3. Jesse Jackson
4. Gen McPeak
Merrill A. McPeak, a former Air Force chief of staff, also compared the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist organizations to what he described as religious radicals in Oregon and claimed "born-again [Christians]" supported the war in Iraq to help Israel
5. William Ayers
What do William Ayers, former Weather Underground, and Rashid Khalidi, the professor at Columbia University who arranged the Ahmedinejad visit and has direct ties to the PLO, and Barack Obama have in common? According to well placed sources, Barak Obama and William Ayers directed money to Rashid Khalidi, the Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University. Khalidi has long been at the center of controversy for his anti-Israeli, pro-Palestinian statements. In 2005, Khalidi was barred from participating in a teacher training program in the New York City public school system for his extremist statements.
6. Michael Pfleger
The ranks of Sen. Barack Obama's supporters in his bid to become president of the United States have been found to include a white priest of a mostly black church who has links to Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan and an apparently low level of tolerance for the 2nd Amendment.
The supporter is Father Michael Pfleger, a white Roman Catholic priest of the predominantly African-American St. Sabrina Church on Chicago's South Side.
7. James Meeks
Indicted Illinois businessman Antoin Rezko, a key fundraiser for Sen. Barack Obama, also raised money for a controversial pastor and superdelegate linked to the Democratic presidential candidate, WND has learned.
James Meeks – an Illinois state senator, pastor of one of the largest churches in the state and a declared spiritual adviser for Obama – came under fire for comments rebroadcast last week calling white American mayors "slave masters" and referring to black preachers and politicians who "protect" the "white man" as "house n-ggers."

Front Row: Clinton flub could end contest by May
Everything has to break Hillary Clinton’s way to win the Democratic nomination. That’s why video footage of her 1996 trip to Bosnia, which exposed her campaign-trail accounts of the event as flatly untrue, could hardly have come at a worse time.
The flap may even have the effect of shortening the Democratic presidential contest. Clinton aides, and her husband, have raised the prospect of a race that goes all the way to the convention in Denver, the week before Labor Day.
Neutral party strategists expect a much swifter conclusion, which the Bosnia episode—by raising doubts about her foreign policy experience--could help bring about.
This week, Clinton belatedly admitted that she "misspoke" in claiming that, as first lady, she had landed "under sniper fire" at the Tuzla airport and ran "with our heads down" to waiting vehicles on that 1996 trip. She backtracked after CBS News video surfaced, telling a very different story from the one Clinton had offered repeatedly over the past few months.

Dude, seriously...if you could just once objectively stand back and look at how EVERYONE trashes Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton, no matter what they say or how they say it and how everyone fawns over Barack Obama, you might have something interesting to say. Every one of you bash her and insult her at every turn instead of speaking to the facts. Quite frankly, it has totally turned me off the Obama campaign. His campaign has proven that his words are meaningless and that he will say anything to get elected. Hillary may be willing to say whatever she needs to get elected, but at least we have years of experience with her ACTIONS to know that she will do once elected. I don't have that same faith with Mr. Obama. I am a staunch Democrat, but I will NOT vote for Mr. Obama in the general election. I don't think he's ready, and I don't trust him.

But how in the world did Senator Clinton attain this air of "inevitability" until just a few months ago?
I mean, from cattle futures through travel office firings, billing records disappearing and reappearing, FBI records turning up in the White House, pardons (for both personal and political gain), withheld records on both her personal schedules and library donors, withheld tax returns, trashing of the White House on her way out the door, how did she ever even get in a position to run for dog catcher?

In his autobiographical book "Dreams from My Father," Barack Obama paints a heroic picture of his father as having emerged from a poor Kenyan village, where he was nothing more than a simple goat herder, to become a Harvard-educated economist, destined to return to Africa to fulfill his promise.
Unfortunately, the reality is much bleaker than the tale Obama tells in his book.
In truth, Barack Obama senior, Obama's father, was a polygamist who had already abandoned one wife and child in Africa when he met Obama's mother in Hawaii.
After being educated at Harvard, Obama senior returned to Africa, abandoning Obama and his mother, to live the life of a chronic alcoholic who ultimately killed himself in his second drink-induced car accident, while driving drunk on the streets of Nairobi.

Progressives for Obama
by Tom Hayden, Bill Fletcher, Barbara Ehrenreich, and Danny Glover
All American progressives should unite for Barack Obama. We descend from the proud tradition of independent social movements that have made America a more just and democratic country. We believe that the movement today supporting Barack Obama continues this great tradition of grass-roots participation drawing millions of people out of apathy and into participation in the decisions that affect all our lives. We believe that Barack Obama’s very biography reflects the positive potential of the globalization process that also contains such grave threats to our democracy when shaped only by the narrow interests of private corporations in an unregulated global marketplace. We should instead be globalizing the values of equality, a living wage and environmental sustainability in the new world order, not hoping our deepest concerns will be protected by trickle down economics or charitable billionaires. By its very existence, the Obama campaign will stimulate a vision of globalization from below.
As progressives we believe this sudden and unexpected new movement is just what America needs. The future has arrived. The alternative would mean a return to the dismal status quo party politics that have failed so far to deliver peace, health care, full employment and effective answers to crises like global warming.

You can now add Italians to Obamas hate list~~
Rev Wright writes
At an event in Greensboro, N.C., Obama referred to his outright condemnation of his former pastor’s incendiary comments in last week's speech, before reiterating that Wright's words needed to be considered in historical context.
“This is someone who was preaching three sermons, at least, a week for 30 years, and they were boiled down into a half-hour, and I mean a half-minute sound clip, partially because it spoke to some of the racial divisions” in America, he said.
Meanwhile, Newsday's Glenn Thrush has the details of an article Wright wrote in December 2007. Unlike the other previously reported controversial comments, these were made in writing:
The irrepressible Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. is at it again, this time taking aim at Italians — expounding a two-millennium grudge against the sons and daughters of Rome — and their (allegedly) breath-altering predilection for scampi and pesto.
From the Wright-written eulogy for scholar Asa Hilliard in the December 2007 edition of the Trumpet magazine: "[Jesus'] enemies had their opinion about Him ... The Italians, for the most part, looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans."
After calling Jesus' crucifixion "a public lynching Italian-style" executed in "Apartheid Rome," he goes on to claim that white supremacists run the U.S. government:
"The government runs everything from the White House to the schoolhouse; from the Capitol to the Klan, white supremacy is clearly in charge, but Asa, like Jesus, refused to be defined by an oppressive government, because Asa got his identity from an omnipotent God."
All this was written before his friend and former parishioner vaulted to the front of the Democratic pack — and before Obama denounced his previous comments on race, AIDS, etc.

Obama: I disagree with aide who blamed 'NY, Miami' for failed peace talks
By Shmuel Rosner, Haaretz Correspondent
Obama's adviser and national campaign co-chairman in 2003 blamed the Jewish American community for the failed peace process.
Now let's discuss these remarks calmly.
1.
Another day, another Obama-Israel-Jewish-related-scandal. Aren't you all tired of raising questions about the Obama campaign?
I am, but duty calls. Again.
A week that started with the good news (from this campaign's point of view) coming out of a Gallup poll (see Jewish Democrats: Half pro-Clinton, half pro-Obama) will end on a sour note. Obama's military adviser and national campaign co-chairman, Merrill "Tony" McPeak, is the new celebrity-suspect, having said four years ago that the peace process is not going well because of "New York City and Miami. We have a large vote here in favor of Israel. And no politician wants to run against it."
2.
First thing first: the credit goes to Robert Goldberg of the American Spectator. He was the one who discovered this long-forgotten interview with The Oregonian in which McPeak made these remarks. Here is part of the text:
McPeak: Obviously part of that long-term strategy would be getting the Israelis and the Palestinians together at . . . something other than a peace process. Process is not a substitute for achievement or settlement. And even so the process has gone off the tracks, but the process isn't enough. . . . We need to get it fixed and only we have the authority with both sides to move them towards that. Everybody knows that.

Roger Cohen: Imaginary snipers, real challenges
[...]
Clinton made up Bosnian sniper fire in an attempt to show that she's tougher than Barack Obama; that she's a hardened, seasoned, putative commander-in-chief ready to respond to crisis when the "red phone" of her fear-mongering ad rings.
John McCain's own recent "misspeaking" about Iran, placing (Sunni) Al Qaeda in (Shiite) Iran, also smacked of muscle-flexing: He wanted to signal toughness to the mullahs in Tehran, where Obama has suggested he'd seek dialogue.
But what the United States, and those that look to it, need now is not more braggadocio from the White House. We've had a seven-year dose. That's enough.
What's needed, rather, is some new, creative thinking about a changed world in which authoritarianism is enjoying a renaissance and America and its allies need to work together to spread peace, prosperity, freedom, equity, security and, yes, democracy.

BHO is the gift that just keeps on giving:
Judicial Watch: Obama ‘intended to leave no paper trail’
The Hill ^ | 03/26/08 | Klaus Marre
The president of a prominent watchdog group said Wednesday that he believes Democratic presidential frontrunner Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) “intended to leave no paper trail” during his time in the Illinois Senate.
Judicial Watch, which has been seeking access to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) records from her time in the White House, argued Wednesday that the Illinois senator, who has criticized the former first lady for a lack of openness, has his own “records problem.”
“The more we learn about the Illinois Senator, the more obvious it becomes that he is anything but the ethically upright outsider he purports to be,” said Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch.
The group rose to prominence when it repeatedly took on former President Bill Clinton during his time in office. It also sought records from the Bush administration regarding Vice President Dick Cheney’s energy task force.
In a statement, Fitton noted that his group has sought access to Obama’s records as a state senator and questioned whether the presidential candidate has been forthcoming with regard to what happened to those documents.
However, he said that “nobody knows where they are, if they exist at all” and claimed that “Obama’s story keeps changing.”
The senator’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Fitton argues that Obama’s public accounts of what happened to his records do not mesh with information from the Illinois Office of the Secretary of State. He added that the Judicial Watch investigation “suggests” that the senator could have had his records archived in a way that would grant the public access to them.
“It appears that Obama never kept records of his time in the Illinois state legislature, or he discarded them,” Fitton stated. “Either way, he clearly intended to leave no paper trail.”

Clinton down, Obama not so much
As expected, one of the two major Democratic candidates saw a downturn in the latest NBC/WSJ poll, but it's not the candidate that you think. Hillary Clinton is sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. Moreover, her 37 percent positive rating is the lowest the NBC/WSJ poll has recorded since March 2001, two months after she was elected to the U.S. Senate from New York.
The poll was conducted Monday and Tuesday this week by Hart-McInturff and surveyed 700 registered voters, which gives the poll a margin of error of +/- 3.7 percent. In addition, we oversampled African-Americans in order to get a more reliable cross-tab on many of the questions we asked in this poll regarding Sen. Barack Obama's speech on race and overall response to last week's Rev. Jeremiah Wright dustup. (Watch Tim Russert's analysis of the poll results.)

[...]
"Periodically, over the last couple of weeks, you will see a news story or get something from the campaign, and you'll go, 'How stupid do you think I am?" one uncommitted superdelegate said. "All of us watch television all the time, read the newspapers. We all play with the little charts online too. We know it is virtually impossible."
One delegate said the Clinton campaign is "using Jeremiah Wright to scare white people."
"A full and fair debate about issues and differences and even fights is good," the delegate said. "Mud slinging, personal attacks and lying is never good for any political fight or party. And I see a lot of that coming from one side more than the other."
The delegates said there is little the party or its leaders can do to prevent the current back and forth. But some said they were increasingly in touch with Clinton campaign officials to say their support is in jeopardy.
"Uncommitted delegates can come out and say, 'If you don't stop this now, we won't vote for you,'" one uncommitted superdelegate said.

Hillary's OTHER Fabrication -- 911!
Writers, Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, disclose an even more outrageous Fabrication Hillary' has told the American public that has not been disclosed, until now. Here is an excerpt: "After Sept. 11, Hillary had a problem. New Yorkers were desperately focused on their own need for protection and they were saddled with a senator who was not one of them — an Arkansan, or was it a Chicagoan? Interviewed on the “Today Show” one week after Sept. 11, she spun an elaborate yarn. The kindest thing we could say was that it was a fantasy. Or a fabrication.
She said that Chelsea was jogging around the World Trade Center on Sept. 11 and happened to duck into a coffee shop when the airplanes hit. She said that this move saved Chelsea’s life. But Chelsea told Talk magazine that she was in a friend’s apartment four miles from ground zero when the first plane hit. Her friend called her, waking her up, and told her to turn on the TV. On television, she saw the second plane hit, disproving Hillary’s claim that “she heard the plane hit. She heard it. She did.”
So why did Hillary make up the story about Chelsea? Most likely to was because her co-senator (and implicit rival for the voters’ affection), a real New Yorker, Charles Schumer (D), spoke of his daughter, who attended Stuyvesant High School, located next to the Trade Center, being at real risk on Sept. 11. Hillary needed to make herself part of the scene.
She invented the entire story on national television, the “Today Show,” and didn’t blink an eye. Her fabrication on the “Today Show” was no unique foray. It is her standard M.O. It gives us pause in evaluating all of her stories and calls into question her entire credibility." (From the Hill Blog, Mar. 27, 08)
It seems Hillary will do anything to win. This week, Hillary, a consumate Actress & Mistress of Spin, (=s Phony) sat down with her arch enemey, Richard Mellon Scaife the Pittsburgh Gazette, the very one who during her White House years accused her of the murder of Vince Foster and said that Bill and she had committed 60 murders to hide their crimes, in an ill-advised and ill-timed manner to re-introduce the Rev. Wright issue -- by the way, the very Rev. Wright that they Invited to the White House. Then they sent out Sen. McGovern to re-introduce the Gender Fight, so now we have a racial and gender fight to instigate more division while trying to Divert attention from her Big Gaf, the Bosnia Tale of Sniper Fire, which we all know now is a complete Fabrication told THREE times, which is a betrayal of the public trust and goes right to the Heart of character. They somtimes even Stage their audiences. They have been telling these Tall Tales for years and this time got caught. However, the American People do Demand that thier Politicians be trustworthy and truthful! And, if it was not for Rush Limbaugh, and Bill's visit to Rush during the Texas Primarys, Barack would have won Texas but for the 100,000 Republican votes casted for Hillary which put her slightly over the top. However, the Republicans who vote for Barack, genuinely like him unlike the Republicans who vote for Hillary, as a way to "bloody" Barack up, as stated by Rush Limbaugh! As for her Tonya Harding, Tonya was sent packing in disgrace! As for Hillary's scheme to make Barack look "unelectable", I say "Chickens Coming Home to Roost"! I say No More "Do and Say Anything" Politicians!

Indeed, the poll results aren’t encouraging for the Clinton camp. While she had a four-point lead over Obama among Dems two weeks ago, she and Obama are now tied at 45%. In hypothetical general-election match-ups, Obama now leads McCain by two (44% to 42%), while McCain leads Clinton by two (46% to 44%). The Wright controversy was supposed to drive white Dems to Clinton in larger numbers, but her margin actually shrank in recent weeks, from 12 points to eight.

Researchers followed psychotics through the voting process in 2004 and found a “correlation between the severity of a person’s psychosis and their preferences for president. The more psychotic the voter, the more likely they were to vote for Bush,” according to Bush’s hometown newspaper
- Eyes closed

So now your calling 44% of Hispanics psychotic? Not only are progressives anti-semitic but now we can add anti-hispanic. Nice!!!!
