This morning, the anti-war group CODEPINK formed a "peace fleet blockade" of canoes and kayaks in Washington's Capital Yacht Club marina around the Houseboat of New York Democrat Gary Ackerman. The group is protesting Ackerman's resolution that would enforce new sanctions against Iran. The group says Ackerman addressed them for nearly 30 minutes, calling their effort "the most creative protest I've ever seen."

Ackerman refused to withdraw his resolution but said he support unconditional talks with the Iranian government:

"Iran's missile tests give all the more reason to start direct talks right away," said Medea Benjamin, CODEPINK co-founder. "We are now on a dangerous path towards war. We must stop the next war now."
